The Pazaap warriors of Punakha in western Bhutan have long been charged with the protection of the holiest relics in the land. It is a duty they have fulfilled for centuries with great pride an honor. The springtime Punakha Serdra festival celebrates their contributions to the history of Bhutan and the protection of some of the rarest cultural treasures in the land.

The event which takes place within the walled amphitheaters of one of the most beautiful dzongs (monastery-fortresses) in Bhutan is a visual feast bringing together farmers, nobility, spiritual teachers and the lucky travelers who get to be our guests. Join us on this spectacular journey and bring home some unforgettable memories of the vibrant, living culture of Bhutan.
