Long before he was a flight operations director for Bhutan's national airline, Drukair, Karma P Wangdi was an avid trekker and outdoors guide for International Treks and Tours. 'KP,' or 'Stallone,' as we like to call him, brings his tremendous wealth of experiences as a senior executive leading the country's flagship airline to his role as our Chief Operations Officer. He has managed Drukair's teams at nearly every city the airline flies to, and as a senior representative of the airline, he's negotiated with multiple international aircraft manufacturers, including European giant Airbus. Ditching the boardroom for his true long-held passion—hiking the trails of Bhutan with us—he nonetheless brings a wealth of organizational experience to our tour operations.

We are all understandably excited to have our old friend on board here at Bhutan Himalaya Expeditions! It's notable to mention that our new COO is a veteran of multiple Snowman Treks, one of the world's most difficult continuous through-hikes.
